Here is a thorough review of the NeverKink Garden Hose. We have been getting a lot of requests to review this hose specifically. This model (NeverKink PRO Commercial Hose) is the more popular one out of the other Apex NeverKink hoses. We will give you all the product specifications, feature explanations as well as the pros and cons.
Overall, would I recommend getting this hose? Well, majority of customer reviews say yes. In my books, it’s a yes as well. I think the quality is pretty good. I have seen better quality I would say, but the price of the NeverKink is insanely cheap, especially if you want the 100-foot option. I have not seen that low of a price for a 100-foot garden hose.
Alright, let’s get down to it.

NeverKink Hose Size Selections
First off, the hose gives you the option of a couple different sizes which is pretty standard for hose manufacturers.
- 5/8″ or 3/4″ (Inner Diameter)
- 50, 75, or 100-feet
Both inner diameter sizes are efficient. Anything under 5/8″ inner diameter I would not get (this hose does not offer under that which is good). A hose with an inner diameter of under 5/8″ will not give you enough water pressure to power-wash your things (vehicle, patio, deck) in my opinion. As such, those hoses are better off strictly for just gardening purposes.
With a 5/8″ or 3/4″ you will get good enough water pressure for gardening purposes as well as power-washing purposes. If you want more pressure and greater water-flow, then get the 3/4″ inner diameter selection. Also, keep in mind the shorter the hose – the greater the water pressure will be. Here are some tips how to increase water pressure in your hose.
No-Kink Technology
So does this garden hose really not kink? I mean it’s literally in the name of the garden hose. Honestly, most customers say it does not kink which must mean something. I would say that any commercial garden hose does have a chance of kinking (except for a metal garden hose). But some are a lot better at preventing kinks like this one due to the NTS (Non-Torsion Technology).
Keeping your hose healthy even when you are not using it is a big factor in determining if your hose will kink, tangle, or burst. You have to coil your hose properly between use as well as store your hose properly.
Anyways, for the most part this hose is actually really good at not kinking. The Reflex Mesh Technology and NTS System in place prevents kinks, twists, and tangles to begin with (translucent strip that runs the length of the hose).
Even if your hose does kink, you can send it back and they’ll replace it.
NeverKink Hose Construction
The hose consists of lead-free aluminum fittings that are crush-resistant and easily connectable to your faucet or spigot. The fittings are constructed with Apex Technology using brass interiors, aviation grade aluminum, uniprene washers, and ergonomic grips making the ends of the hose completely leak-free and airtight.
Furthermore, right down from the couplings, there is a heavy gauge power coil in place to prevent strain and kinks right at the faucet.
The entire hose including the ends are crush-proof up to 1,400 pounds. It has been tested with running it over with a pick-up truck and was in full-function during this test.
My favorite part about this hose is the couplings (fittings) construction. It is very thorough and high-tech. I have seen a lot of hoses that become damaged easily at the ends or connection to the faucet. You will not run into this with the NeverKink hose.
If you do run into problems with punctures or connections, here is how to stop leaks from your garden hose.
Flexibility & Maneuverability
Overall, the hose is lightweight and pretty flexible. There are more flexible hoses on the market that have better ultra-flex technology. But for the most part, this hose is lightweight and flexible so you won’t have problems maneuvering it around trees or other obstacles as well as carrying it around.
The hose can flex down to 45 degrees-F which is decent in my opinion. This is efficient for consumer use gardening purposes and power-washing all-year-round. The hose is also largely recommended for tradesmen, contractor environments as well as landscape professionals.
MicroShield Antimicrobial Protection
Another benefit of this hose is the Microshield it contains to protect against mold and mildew. This design keeps your hose clean throughout the year and will prevent build-up of slime and bacteria growth on the hose. This is perfect if you live in higher temperatures and humidity that encourages the growth of microorganisms in moist environments.
Lastly, the hose is not certified safe for drinking water.
Final Thoughts on NeverKink Garden Hose
I hope you found this review informative. In all, would I recommend getting this garden hose? It’s a yes from me. Overall, the quality is good – definitely over par. There are better quality commercial rubber garden hoses. But the price of the NeverKink is pretty much unbeatable, especially for a 100-footer. So if you want a hose that gets the job done and has good longevity, then this is a good selection.
