What It Does To Your Plants
Miracle-Gro Potting Soil claims that they are capable of growing your plants twice as big compared to unfed plants. In addition to that, Miracle-Gro feeds your soil and plants for up to 6 months – showcasing more blooms or more color afterward.
In my personal experience, I do not think my plants have grown twice their size ever since I used Miracle-Gro, but I did notice a spurt in growth after only a few weeks of adding Miracle-Gro, and this was not something I would usually see with my past soils.
When it comes to the “Feed up to 6 months” claim, I do not rely on it since I prefer my plants to be secured with new or additional organic matters than to be left untouched for 6 months.
In terms of my plant’s coloration, since it had fast growth development, it did not take long for my Kalachuchi to bloom.
Can Be Used Indoors & Outdoors
Miracle-Gro Potting Soil advertises that their soil can be used for both indoors and outdoors which I agree with because I do have plants that are indoors with the Miracle-Gro Potting Soil and as well as plants that are outside with the same soil that is doing well.
Feeds Up To 6 Months
This product claims that their soil is capable of feeding for up to 6 months. I am skeptical of that but there are a lot of reviews out there that agree with this claim.
Many Options To Choose From
As you can see from the specifications above, there are several variants you can choose from for your convenience. They are active in their “Ask a Question” section, so do not hesitate to ask if there is something you want to clarify or ask about the variants.
Easy To Use
Speaking convenience, they are relatively easy to use and set up. If there are any confusions about how to set it up, you can find their “Easy-to-Use Instructions” at the back.
Presence of Gnats
Scrolling through the reviews, I have noticed people open up to their surprise of seeing eggs and adults gnats in the Miracle-Gro Potting Soil, which is a big problem since they can easily cause an infestation to your garden and even your house. This is currently an issue that Miracle-Gro is resolving.
Tips To Further Boost Your Plant’s Health
Below are tips you can take advantage of to further boost your plant’s growth and development! I apply some of these tips to my plants that require extra care. So, if you think your plants need extra care to reach their full potential, then you should choose one or two of the tips below.
Add Organic Matters
Organic matters are great for your soil and plant’s health. They are composed of various materials that will decompose in the long run, which provides nutrients and food to the microorganisms living in your soil that are also helping with the distribution of nutrients. Moreover, organic matter helps contract soil particles to improve the water holding capacity of the soil.
A lot of gardeners use mulch not just for aesthetic purposes but to also conserve soil moisture or enhance water retention. This provides more nutrients to the soil as well as better control on soil erosion losses. Furthermore, mulch suppresses weeds to keep them from taking over your soil.
Compost and mulch are two common soil amendments that a lot of gardeners use. For the same purpose, compost helps soil absorb and retain nutrients. Another benefit it gives is that it enhances water retention to keep moisture levels at sufficient levels. Compost is primarily used for protection against common garden diseases and pests.
You can expect less watering from them since their moisture levels are higher than soils without compost.
From the name itself, fertilizers boost your plant’s fertility and replenish nutrients. Without fertilizers, there is a great chance of deterioration and soil compaction in the long run. You have the option to buy a high-quality one or create your own fertilizer. However, the wrong ingredients could damage or possibly kill your plants, so always do your research first before considering that.
I do recommend Miracle-Gro Potting Soil since they are effective and affordable. I love how they boosted up my plants’ growth and made them bloom in just a few weeks.
If you do not trust your potting soil mixing techniques yet, you can consider Miracle-Gro Potting Soil as an alternative while you are still perfecting your potting mix. This is to be safe since the wrong potting mix could do more harm than good to your plants.
So, take your time learning the best mixes out there, and let Miracle-Gro Potting Soil do the work for you. I would love to hear what you have to say about the Miracle-Gro Potting Soil. So, do not hesitate to let me know your thoughts about this product in the comment section below!
