Soil is one of the elements you should not take for granted if you want your plants to grow to their full potential.
A lot of beginners tend to take soil for granted because the majority of them think that it is just something that is similar to dirt wherein you just dump it in the container pot and put your seeds in it.

The Effects of Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix To Your Plants
Based on my experience, I started using Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix with only seeds because I was skeptical of its claims back then.
Not long after, I was surprised to see my plants grow at an amazingly fast rate. They went from being a seeds to juvenile-formed plants in just 2 weeks!
In addition to that, the packaging says that it feeds your plants for up to 6 months, which I personally did not wait for 6 months to see if it really was capable of feeding my plants in that long of a timeframe.
However, there was a time that I did not fertilize my plants for about 4 months with the Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix and I did not find any issues at all with my plants. All in all, I do not recommend to not feed your plants after more than 3-4 months just to be safe. It is best to do it on a consistent basis (3 months at a time).
What Elements Does It Contain?
Miracle-Gro contains nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. All of these are in non-toxic amounts so you do not have to worry about Miracle-Gro’s Indoor Potting Mix killing your plants. They are also known to be safe and excellent for vegetable cultivation as well.
Advantages and Disadvantages
Below are the main advantages and drawbacks of the Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix. This will help you with your purchase decision as this section can be a major contributor to what you are going to decide.
Advantages of the Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix
1) Feeds Up To 6 Months
Miracle-Gro indoor potting mix is capable of feeding your plants for up to 6 months! This is great if you planned on feeding your plants on a monthly basis. You will no longer have to worry about constantly feeding your plants with this product.
2) Less Prone To Gnats
Unlike other Miracle-Gro products, Miracle-Gro has improved this indoor potting mix by adding protective layers to keep gnats away.
Miracle-Gro indoor potting mix is very effective in boosting your plant’s growth. My plants even grew in a juvenile form as early as 2 weeks! And this is something that I have not experienced with other potting mixes.
As mentioned, Miracle-Gro’s indoor potting mix is cheap and very affordable, which is a good choice for those who are on a gardening budget.
Disadvantages of the Miracle-Gro Indoor Potting Mix
1) It Contains Nitrogen
As mentioned, Miracle-Gro contains nitrogen. This is to boost the growth and development of the plants. However, the problem with this is that nitrogen is extracted from synthetic ammonium and water-soluble nitrates as well, resulting in producing off chemicals that can kill microbes, worms, and other organisms living in the soil.
2) Not Suitable For All Types of Plants
This potting mix is not suitable for plants that require less humidity and moisture retention since the materials used in this mix hold high levels of moisture, which is bad for these types of plants. This can cause root rot and prevention of the roots from scattering.
If any of these disadvantages bother you, do reconsider your purchase decision but if there are no concerns, then I personally recommend this potting mix for you! It does very well in boosting your plant’s growth and development, and it is capable of protecting your plants from garden pests and garden diseases.
The price is a bonus since it is hard to believe that there is such an amazing product that performs so well with such a low price.
